Associations

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national association with 79 chapters representing 25,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms with two million employees. ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry.

The Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) traces its history to 1884 when it was established by a group of contractors. The first name of PDCA was the “Master House Painters Association of the United States and Canada”. It came into legal existence in New York City on January 15, 1885 for the specific purpose of attacking industry abuses which arose from “unwise competition”, to remedy a defective apprentice system, to solve problems created by unsatisfactory materials, and to devise a means for assuring the public of the “skill, honorable reputation, and probity” of master painters.

CASF is a non-profit organization whose members are from all aspects of the construction industry. Our members include general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, design professionals and other professionals, such as attorneys and accountants – each with a vested interest in the building industry. Membership in CASF is synonymous with the construction industry in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. With over 500 members, our network of professionals makes the Construction Association of South Florida one of the leading and most outstanding construction-related organizations in the region.
